Background
IPCC WG3 definition: M-1A-11 - Alternative Fuels for Vehicles.
Hydrogen trucks are a type of electric vehicles. They cause no tailpipe emissions, are significantly more energy efficient and produce less noise than fossil-fuelled vehicles. The shift to electric trucks will therefore both reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help create a better urban environment.
Sustainability Category: Green

This transition element substantially contributes to climate change mitigation through significant greenhouse gas reductions, carbon sequestration, or enabling the transition to net-zero emissions. The transition element aligns with science-based pathways to limit global warming and should be prioritized for investment and expansion.
