Description¶
This table contains figures on municipal or public sewage treatment plants managed by water boards. The table provides, per province and by river basin district (Rhine, Meuse, Ems, and Scheldt), the following outcomes: - the numbers and design capacity of municipal sewage treatment plants, per treatment type. - the loads and concentrations of organic substances, nutrients, and heavy metals in the incoming wastewater (influent) and the treated wastewater (effluent). Starting in 2017, data on heavy metals is only published for even years. - the amounts and destination of the produced sewage sludge, with the nutrients and heavy metals present in it. Starting in 2017, these data are only published for even years.
